For metal pump models, most use internal threaded ports with a center horizontal, while some sizes feature side horizontal, center vert, or double In/out configurations to better accommodate different installation requirements. For plastic pumps, the 1/4" and 1/2" models primarily have Center Horizontal ports, while the 1" size offers two flange connection options: an ANSI flange with a side discharge port and a JIS flange with a center horizontal port, allowing for a wide range of application possibilities to meet different flange connection needs.

In addition to material and size selection, the choice of ball valve components is crucial to the performance of diaphragm pumps. Selecting the appropriate valve cover, ball, and seat materials based on fluid characteristics ensures optimal and more durable transfer efficiency. For example, for the transport of oil-based paints at ambient temperatures, the UEXX model is recommended, which includes a UPE diaphragm and a PE valve cover, ideal for handling fluids containing organic solvents and particulate matter. This combination ensures the pump’s durability and smooth operation.

For fluids containing abrasive particles, the OOXO model is recommended. This wear-resistant pump specification combines a thermoplastic rubber diaphragm and valve cover with elastomer seats and wear-resistant ball valves (thermoplastic rubber, Bakelite, or stainless steel). It provides extended service life for abrasive fluid transfer applications and is widely used in applications such as slurry, wastewater transport, and Plate and frame filter press.
